Q: I am a HUGHE JFR racing fan. I love that Ashely is pro this year. I was wondering how many people thought she would be this good so soon? What do you think about her going to two semi-finals in a row? I think it's awesome and love that she's ahead of her dad in the point standing. Just wondering if anybody else is as excitied as I am?
A: I was there when Ashley smoked the tires Yesterday at Gateway! I was disappointed but at least it was the semi's. I've been to every NHRA event at Gateway and John Force is really the nicest guy you can meet. I was standing at his pit when he came out of his trailer and the first thing he did was apologize if anyone was waiting too long and signed autographs until it was time for Ashley to run. When I was standing at the fence at the starting line he still took time to run over and give some spectator a high five before running over to stand with the crew for Ashleys run.
