Q: I am going to the county fair next week and am trying to decide which night to go. One night says open derby and the other says county. Dont know too much, but I am guessing the 'open' one will be bigger? I dont want to go both nights so I want to make sure I go to the better one. Any help would be great!
A: Most of the time, when you see "county" on a description for a fair event, it means that that even is open to only that county's residents (sometimes surrounding areas, but mostly just that county). The open events are usually the "heavy hitters." The guys who know how to set up the cars, and come prepared to kick @$$, take names, and bring home the money. Thsoe guys usually demo every weekend, or every other weekend during the summer months, when they can find the demo's. Some will even pull 100's of miles, if the purse is big enough.
