Q: Not much of a surprise as he was the leading runner for the #12 since Newman announced his defection to Stewart Haas Racing... My burning question is how do you think the #12 team will fair next season w/out Newman behind the wheel? I like Stremme, and hope the best for him and that team.. but I seriously think we are only talking about a top 25 team, MAYBE a top 20 team. A: I think he may be a good fit there. What I'm wondering though is since Ryan isn't going to make the chase, the #12 is locked in to the top 35 (pretty much), will we see Newman have an early departure from Penske to go and start getting to work on the Stewart-Haas cars for the final 5 to 10 races and maybe try and get the cars into the top 35. I dont know, just throwing a little speculation out there.
