Has there every been a nascar cup race that was never run because of on going rain delays?

Q: To all FL and gulf coast nascar residents i hope you are ok through these hurricane storms and your houses and family and you are ok. I am in the fl keys where we usually get all the hurricanes but have been spared recently the last couple of years. Take care and be safe. T

A: the 1973 southeastern 500 was delayed by three weeks or so because of rain. it stands out as it is one of the few races where one person led all the laps - cale yarborough led the first 40 or so laps, then the rains came. they continued on with the season and when the chance came to finish the race, they went back and very quickly yarborough had lapped the field and went on to lead all 500 laps to win. don't know of any put off longer than that...
