Q: I don't want to hear from haters I'm A die hard JR fan and can't understand for the life of me why he runs good until the pit crew makes adjustments. You would think by now as long as tony and dale have worked together they would be on the same page? Seriously i need some logical answers not dumb answers from haters. thank you winter those are the real answers i'm looking for!! Stinky that's exactly what i can't understand teh good teams find ways to improve during a race The 88 team does not seem to be able to do that. they always seem to go in the wrong direction
A: I've been keeping up with lap times on FOX Trax. He has been running pretty consistent laps of about 171.5 mph the whole race. Tires wear down and he drops to about 168. What has happened is Carl and Kyle and a few others has just increased their lap times. After a set of fresh tires the lap times for Carl and Kyle are 174.5 (+ or -). Even in cars running in positions 3 through 6 were running 173 or 172. Jr's car just hasn't improved. --------------- Exactly; He needs a crew chief that knows how to make positive changes. Jeff Gordon is a prime example of a driver that has talent and the crew chief just can't do the job. Since Gordon's crew chief left and went to Petty's organization what has Jeff Gordon done? Struggled. Again the same applies to Tony Sr. Since Tony Sr. left what has Dale Jr done? Struggled. This has happened ever since Tony Jr has taken over. They always start out good and then blow it. I have felt the same way for several years. ---- I have seen Dale Jr tell Tony Jr exactly what to do to the car and Tony Jr does something completely different to the car and screws it up and then after the race tells Dale Jr what happened.
