Q: I think so. I thought it was pretty cool considering it was the first time ever. I think if they went back with improved wipers and defrosters and tail lights the end would have been a little different. Atleast for Lagano. I'm asking about the race as a whole not where anyone finished though. What did you think? Success?
A: Well I know from experience that the Rain-X is better without the windshield wipers. It was surprising to see the different strategies there. Some wipers were floating up from the windshield and wasn't even working at higher speeds. (like my old 63 Chevy does). The tires seemed to let them race. They got better traction than I thought they would. It was a trade-off for speed though. But still interesting. I would say it was a success for NASCAR because now they don't have to come back tomorrow and finish the race. I'm sure that was more convenient for them and the teams that they ran it today. So yes it was a small success. Nothing like a dry race, but still a small success.
