Q: You all know he's my favorite driver, but this is a serious question I have. After seeing so much about who the greatest of all time is and who's better right now queations I would just like to know your true thoughts, without ranking him lower because you don't like him, Chad, Rick or ANYTHING HMS. Being objective, where is his place in the history of cup series drivers? Top 20, top 10 or maybe even higher? I'd put him around 10th right now, just my opinion. OK, maybe top 10 is little premature but definitely top 15 for me. He's got a winning percentage of 14.64, is tied with Mark Martin for 17th on the all time wins list w/35, already has 2 championships and been the runner up twice in just 6 full seasons.
A: Goodness, that's a great question. He's going to be remembered as a legend, that's for sure. He's not done winning championships, I can see him getting 1 or 2 (possibly even 3) more. Currently, I'd say he probably sits about 11th or 12th, in my opinion. But I can see it going up before all is said and done in his career.
