A: Goodyear has brought in the tires for Pocono to use if they run out. But, the catch here is if 1 team runs out and needs to use the Pocono tires, ALL the teams have to switch. Racing the Pocono tire opens up a whole new set of issues. The Pocono tire is a faster tire (different compound) and this will cause the cars to run about 5 MPH faster with higher RPMs. The engine builders are concerned about the engines lasting under the extra RPMs.
