Why a mandatory caution with only 10 laps left???

Q: This makes no sense to me. I'm only a very casual NASCAR viewer, so someone needs to explain the logic here to me. I've seen it done in the early stages of the race, and that makes sense, but why the end? A guy races his tail off to get in a position to win, and they make him stop. Totally a mystery to me. Do you serious fans like it?

A: The race was bad. Goodyear came with a completely wrong tire that would only last 10-15 laps before it blew out. So NASCAR threw a caution every 10-12 laps to change tires to prevent accidents.
