A: Well you asked ... here's what I've got. Today's race (Nashville 2008) was Danica's 60th race as an IndyCar Series driver. She has retired from the race in 10 of them (so she's completed 83% of the races she's started). Of the 10 retirements - 5 were in her first year (Homestead - accident T2, Milwaukee - accident T2, Michigan - engine, Sonoma - accident T11, and Fontana - accident T4). 2006: 1 retirement (Michigan - ran out of fuel - remember her stomping back?) 2007: 2 retirements: Homestead - *spin entering pits*, and Kentucky - Spin T2 ... though she did spin in the warmup lane exiting pits in T2. 2008: 2 retirements: Kansas (mechanical) and Indy (collected by pit spin). Now ... let's back up a bit ... there have been other controversies in pit. Kansas '07 - she was told to exit her pit as T.K. was entering. Since then, D.P. has never pitted behind T.K. Watkins Glen '08 - spun on new tires, tore wing off, served penalty. Not going to try to research any more. But from my count, she's had "contact" in pit lane at least 4x - 2 putting her out of the race (6.7%).
