A: Indy 4 was set in 1957 Indy 3 was set in 1912 and 1938 I'm not sure about the real timeline, but Indy 3 was set before WW1 and then before WW2, while Indy 4 takes place during the cold war and the red scare / McCarthyism and during the time of Stalin
