Would this Qualifying system be good?

Q: Assuming that the modifications for 2009 actually allow more overtaking what if they implemented this qualifying system: 1. Divide the grid in 6 groups of 4 (assuming 24 cars) according to constructor's championship position (for example group 1 could be 2 McLarens and 2 Ferraris, group 2 BMW's and Renaults, group 3 Williams.. etc etc). 2. Have them qualify. We get 6 poles, 6 second places, etc etc. 3. The 6 poles start from the front according to their laptimes, then the 6 second places would start from P7 to P12, the 6 third places from P13 to P18, etc etc. So the starting grid would be for example: 1. a Ferrari/McLaren 2. a BMW 3. a Williams 4. a Toro Rosso 5. a Prodrive 6. a Force India 7. another Ferrari/McLaren etc etc.. I know it sounds very harsh for the McLaren or Ferrari's that qualify second, but at least if they driving the fastest cars lets put them to work! What do you think? Is it too crazy?

A: I think that would too crazy... it would narrow down championship battles to just teammates essentially... You would have to outperform your teammate first to have a chance at anyone else... I think the current system is good enough... We used to have good overtaking in the past and we didn't need any special qualifying procedures to make it happen...
