I have a 3 day pass to the British Grand Prix - are the car traffic queues still bad every day?

Q: So it looks like camping is the best idea - where would you recommend? Going to be a lonely, but I guess I can take a few beers and a TV!!

A: The traffic will be bad on Saurday and Sunday. Friday is usually not too bad as not that many people attend that day. If you arrive about 9am, expect to queue for maybe an hour on Friday at most. On Saturday I would aim to be there by 7.30am or you will be queuing in traffic. The queues get longer and I would reckon if you arrive at say 10am, you could be stuck there for 2 hours+ On the Sunday if you don't get to the circuit by 6.30am, you will be stuck in traffic for hours. Once you are in the car park you will have no problems. We usually take a little camping stove, get to the car park and make some sausages for breakfast. Leaving on Sunday can also take hours. The race finishes about 2.30ish and it can take up to 4 hours to get out of the car parks. There is a free gig and after race party held in the infield. Best advice is to wait a few hours before trying to drive home. that way you won't sit for hours in a massive queue.
