Q:
A: First driver to finish his first 3 races on the podium (record previously held by Peter Arundell). Most consecutive podiums in his first year with 9 (previous holder Jaques Villeneuve, 7). Most km led in first season with 1448km (previous record J.Villeneuve 1370km). Most points in a debut season 109 (Villeneuve 78). Most pole positions in a debut season 6 (Villeneuve 3). Most podiums in a debut season 12 (Villeneuve 11). You can probably add most points-scoring finishes in a debut season 15 (Villeneuve 11), but I haven't checked it exhaustively. I think that's it, I might have missed one or two. He now also shares the record for most debut season wins with Villeneuve (4); also the best championship finish in a debut season (2nd) with Villeneuve (not counting 1950). Most of the age-related records are held by Fernando Alonso (although Vettel and Rosberg have stolen a couple of them within the last year). Hamilton also fell well short of Villeneuve's record for fastest laps in a debut season (6), only setting two.
