Q: Its 40 years today (Monday 7th) since he was tragically killed at Hockenheim.
A: He was one on nicest racing drivers who have ever lived and he had that wonderful ability of being able to drive with that easy relaxed concentration, which is unusual in competition drivers. He was also a superb driver on the ordinary road. My favourite memories of Jimmy Clark was when he was driving his Lotus Cortina. It was a very sad loss when he was killed.
