Would Allan McNish be a good addition to the BBC commentary team in 2009?

Q: In his short stint as a driver I found his overview very intelligent in a Coultardesque way. Now he would be good too! Maybe if David Coultard is going to retire next year, they could line him up for a job at the beeb?

A: Now there you are, that's a really good shot, I wouldn't mind at all. Before I said that just go with the flow and accept Hammond but with Eddie Jordan by side or Irvine, and try to bring back Jim Rosenthal for me he did a great job, but with Alan would be productive as well. Good thinking, have a star. Edit: Yeah I agree that David Coulthard would be the most knowledgeable person to be there, and remember that Alan McNish was a test driver for a long time and sometimes (maybe most of the times) this drivers might know more then the "1st" drivers.
