Does Indy and Formula One use multiple cars like Nascar does?

Q: Nascar teams basicly has a car for every track they race on. Does Indy and Formula One have this many cars or do they adjust their cars for each race? I'm sure they have backup cars, but do they invest in 15 to 20 cars like Nascar?

A: in f1 the same basic chassis is used every race until a crash or a new model is introduced. the suspension and aerodynamic parts can be altered to suit different tracks, as of 2008 a team in f1 cannot even carry a spare car to use at all
