Q: it will be crap. when they last broadcast f1, their camera angles and coverage was really primitive. and no build up. itv have delivered great in depth coverage. brundle, james allen, jardine are all brilliant - very knowledgable and articulate. who have the bbc got? please don't tell me ''the hamster'' FFS. he is an idiot that has openly admitted on top gear he knows nothing about F1 and finds it boring. great! and i've read the bbc is going to 'release the top gear boys' at a race weekend. so, we'll have that lanky w**nker clarkson making a mockery of it all. i can imagine their ''hilarious'' stunts already - attach a caravan to a ferrari and screw in a washing machine instead of an engine and then drive it off the top of the pit lane paddock. a**holes. the only advantage of bbc is no ad breaks. but i can't rememember 1 race where any serious action was missed during a break and if it is they immediately replay it anyway. i want to start a campaign to keep F1 on itv!! i also can't believe itv are giving up f1 just when lewis hamilton is set for f1 domination like schumacher. they must be nuts!
A: I think you may be being a little harsh on the Beeb here. It has been some time since they last Broadcast F1 so who knows what changes they will make. Agreed ITV have an excellent and highly knowledgeable commentary team, but what makes you think the BBC can't provide that too. Just because they are going to 'release' the top gear boys for a weekend does not mean that they are going to be the sole commentary team. I personally love F1 and love Top Gear for what they both are, I can appreciate the power, beauty, serious mechanics and race tactics involved in motorsport, but as I don't take cars so seriously that I have to wet my pants because someone may make a joke about one I can see the funny side when someone plays around irreverantly with them, so I don't understand why you're getting all in a flap about the Top Gear team. Agreed, ITV are making a good job of broadcasting F1, but I don't think this means BBC can't. Oh, and yes, you didn't ask a question so I can only answer the points you made with my opinion :)
