Will there ever be a woman on the grid?

Q: Redsnookball you took the words right out of my mouth. She would also have to be very beautiful. Lullaby, she could still cook out of season! Wasn't there a woman who out-qualified Damon Hill for the Jordan drive but due to his pedigree he got the place, or did I imagine it?

A: There have been 5 female drivers in F1 history: Maria Teresa de Filipis-195-59 Maria Grazia "Lella" Lombardi 1974-76; both from Italy-Lombardi is the only female to score points in an F1 race; 0.5 points awarded in the 1975 Spanish Grand Prix. Divina Galica-Great Britain 1976-78 Desire' Wilson-South Africa 1979 Giovanna Amati-Italy 1992 I certainly hope there will be. She's going to have to be an extraordinarily special woman to do so, but I firmly believe she is either out there or hasn't been born yet. I hope I get to see a woman on the grid in my lifetime. Good luck, Nicole! I hope to see you out there in a few years.
